Capturing the vibrant beauty of Champagne

It was during a very painful season of my life that I started painting this Champagne series.

Gold, silver, copper and bronze capture the vibrant beauty of the world's most celebratory drink.

It sparkles with life as it's poured. Joyful bubbles rise to a crescendo, then rain down like pieces of silver and gold. Juxtaposed against a dark background, it is reminiscent of both the metal refining process and Californian's discovery of gold in the Sacramento valley.

These paintings are about the beauty and value we can find in life’s hardship, the personal refinement we can experience, and a reminder to always look for things to celebrate!

“In order for the light to shine so brightly, the dark must be present.” - Francis Bacon

“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” - Brené Brown
